About Us
George Burns ( the one with the Scottish accent) and Debi Brockway ( the good looking one) own Burns Pet Health Inc.
George and Debi met about 7 years ago while George was running his business in Scotland – Burns Pet Nutrition (Scotland) Ltd. Debi was having problems with her cats and emailed George for some advice. At the same time George was looking at the pet food business in the USA and could see many companies advocating Natural Health but none with any philosophy underpinning their approach. The resulting dialogue was mutual but was not restricted to the well being of Debi’s cats or George’s interest in the United States, rather a friendship of some intensity.
It would be about a year later that George decided to visit the USA and meet a few of the pet food companies and Debi volunteered to help. It was at O’Hare airport, Chicago that they met face to face for the first time. From there their relationship and interest in Natural Health for pets accelerated. Forming the Company Burns Pet Nutrition (USA) Inc and then changing to Burns Pet Health Inc.
George and Debi together, purchased some land in north west Indiana and built a home and office on the land while retaining their house and business in Scotland. (Land of Holistic Pets Ltd). George is a UK resident and enjoys the rich history and culture of his country. They both feel very privileged to be able to appreciate the diversity of both cultures and can bring a wealth of experience in Natural and holistic health to each others countries.
Then of course there is Christine ( The foundation of the business). Christine holds the whole show together when George and Debi travel to shows or Scotland. Actually, Christine is Debi’s sister so George is in a no win situation and knows it!!
Of course there is also Hen! Hen is our cat! If you are wondering why a cat is called Hen then read on! In Scotland, Hen is an term of endearment to females. “Are you keeping well Hen?” is not an uncommon question in Scotland to the fairer sex. Debi, and George though it appropriate to blend some of the culture and dialect in the USA – So Hen She was called and can regularly been seen sitting on the office desk trying help out. Of course hen tries all our products including the dog food.
